How to Download and Use BHIM App for sending or receiving money

Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) is an initiative to enable cashless payments through your mobile phone. BHIM is interoperable with other Unified Payment Interface (UPI) applications, and bank accounts. BHIM is developed by the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI).

Using BHIM app you can send money, receive money or make payments for your purchases by simply scanning a QR code.BHIM accepts a maximum of Rs 10,000 per transaction and Rs 20,000 limit within 24 hours. It supports Hindi and English currently. This app is currently available on Android (Version 8 and above) and iOS mobiles (Version 5 and above).To start using Bharat Interface for Money one needs to have a Smartphone, Internet access, an Indian bank account that supports UPI payments and a mobile number linked to the bank account.

Setps for Install/Download BHIM app

1. Go to playstore click on Install.

2. Once installed open the app and select the prefered language among english and hindi

3. Click on NEXT button and Tap on “let’s get started”

4. Verify your mobile number (same number should be registered with your bank)

5. Enter a 4 digit pass-code and confirm pass-code

6. Select your bank

7. You will get a list of bank accounts registered with the number and bank you selected.

8. Select the bank account you want to use with this app.
